METHAMPHETAMINE PROPERTY TESTING
Methamphetamine or ‘Meth’ testing for your property
If you have a suspicion – GET IT TESTED
If you have found evidence, or suspect the presence of Methamphetamine, Arrange an onsite test now, it costs as little as $595 to have peice of mind!
On-site Methamphetamine or ‘Meth’ Testing
We can perform simple, instant, on-site testing to detect the presence of Methamphetamine residue, when above the safe level of .50µg per 100cm², as recommended by the Australian Clandestine Remediation guidelines.
The initial onsite tests will NOT tell us the level of contamination, just that Methamphetamine residue is present and above the .50µg per 100cm² safe level.
These tests are used as a guide prior to completing full forensic swab testing and a laboratory analysis process. They are a good starting point when you suspect the presence of methamphetamine.
They are relatively inexpensive, with a visit to your property in Victoria costing only $595.00, which is much less than full forensic laboratory analysis.
Forensic Laboritory Analysis
A full forensic laboratory analysis is conducted when the instant test has shown a positive reading to the presence of Methamphetamine residues, or when there is no doubt that Methamphetamine residues are present.
The objective of this testing is to determine the level of contamination present, and the degree of decontamination that is required.
Why is determining the level of contamination necessary?
Decontaminate or Remove:
By determining a more precise Methamphetamine residue level, we can independently guide and assist you and the remediation process with a site-specific report called a Remediation Action Plan (RAP).
The RAP, along with the test report, will determine whether a surface can be decontaminated or whether the level is too high and the removal of the internal lining is required to achieve a clearance report.
Every meth lab is different:
A painted plaster board wall is different to an unpainted brick or masonry wall and requires a different approach.
The location of the lab set up or where usage has occured within the property will also have a bearing on the spread of contamination. Ducted heating or air conditioning can spread the residue throughout the property contaminating other rooms and areas that were thought to be safe.
Exhaust fans can draw contaminants into the roof space contaminating the insulation.
Every situation is unique therefore no two properties should be treated the same.
Remediation Action Plan
Based on the Forensic Laboratory Analysis, a Remediation Action Plan (RAP) determines the appropriate decontamination method.
The RAP will determine whether a surface can be decontaminated, or whether the level is too high and the removal of the internal lining is required to achieve a clearance report.
Our technicians will go through the RAP with you to determine the appropriate course of treatment.
